your character full name: Raife Alexander birth date: September 25, 1980 age:28 hometown: Manhattan, New York (he was born in Paris) job: Disc Jockey sexual orientation and marital status: Bisexual, never married ten positive traits: creative, intelligent, curious, respectful, reliable, responsible, hard working, considerate, polite, humble, musical (put down 11 because some of them are similar) ten negative traits: sensitive, shy, loner, gullible, anxious, touchy, lacks self confidence, is a follower, often afraid to try new things, passive-aggressive, indecisive (put down 11 because some of them are similar) five important personal events that have shaped who your character is: 1. Being born. Raife's parents were both celebrities. his mother is an actress, his father a musician in a popular rock band. The media covered Raife's birth, and the boy grew up in the spot light simply because of who his parents were. 2. Raife was 8 when his parents divorced, and Raife found out from the radio. That was the first time he truly understood what the celebrity meant, and he began to hate it. That, combined with the fact his mother gave up acting and moved to a remote farm in Montana to raise Raife away from the media caused Raife to begin to withdrawl, and focus more on his music and poetry. 3. Raife won his school's poetry contest when he was 13. He had his first taste of being a celebrity, himself, and he kind of liked the attention. But soon the notoriety faded, and he was just Raife again, and he found himself more alone than ever, and began drinking and committing petty crimes to try to get some attention again. He was 14, the first time he ran away, and that is detailed in the secret below. 4. Raife was arrested at 16, for stealing a pair of tennis shoes. The incident is not on his permanent record, because he worked 100 community service hours and paid a fine, but there was a scandal in the papers because of who his parents are, and Raife again shunned the spot light of celebrity, and wanted to just live his own life. Raife ran away for the second time, and hid out at his girl friend's house until his mother found him two weeks later. 5. Raife found using his father's name helped open doors to the music industry, and he landed a job working at a local radio station. He drew national attention with his radio show, and tried to live the dual life of being a radio celebrity by day, and a private person by night. It didn't work out so well, and when he heard about the opening for a DJ on a cruise line, he decided to check it out. He thought perhaps an isolated audience, in such an intimate setting, might help him battle his personal demons. three fears:Because he was sickly as a child, Raife fears getting sick (cancer, brain tumor, heart disease, etc), Birds; he freaks out when birds fly over his head. He knows it's irrational, but there it is. Commitment; he feels like everyone he cares about goes away, and it's easier not to care. three desires: To be loved. To travel the world. To record an album (an album that sells. He doesn't want to be a mega rock star like Bon Jovi or The Beatles. He just wants to make music that people listen to, and he wants to do it on his own, without using his parent's names) one secret: No one knows his mother, after she'd given up acting and fame, started drinking heavily, and the two of them used to get drunk together. His first kiss was his mother, so drunk and wated, that she didn't know who he was. He shoved her off him, and ran away. He lived on the streets for three weeks, and when he saw his mother again, he told her he'd only come home if she went to rehab. She did, and he stayed with his father for a couple months. pb:Thomas Dekker
